Donna Worley Taylor

November 5, 1947 — January 9, 2026

Donna Worley Taylor, 78, of Sandy Utah (formerly Vinton and Union Hall, VA) went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2026 after an illness of many years. She is survived by her husband, Don of 55 years, and daughters, Amanda Spiers (Matt) of Midlothian, VA and Rebecca Schumacher (Jon) of Sandy, UT as well as four grandchildren: William Schumacher, Brighton Schumacher, Callie Spiers, and Samuel Spiers. She is also survived by brothers Bruce Worley (Oak Harbor, WA), Allen Worley (Chesterfield, VA), Roger Worley (Loganville, GA) and a sister Betty Scott (Montrose, GA). Donna was a graduate of William Byrd High School and Virginia Western Community College. She was a long time member of Trinity Reformed Baptist Church in Roanoke and later Covenant Fellowship in Moneta, VA. She was a faithful wife, mother, homemaker, church and Christian school volunteer, as well as a part time caregiver for many family members over the years. Donna was blessed with the gift of servant-working and used her giftings to bless others–her inlaws, her parents, and widows at church–as their lives drew to a close. Her own life required this kind of care for the last ten years, and she joyfully passed from the arms of her husband into the arms of Jesus, having embodied James 1:27, “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” We grieve but not without hope.
