Our sweet mother passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 30 surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born October 29, 1924 in Salt Lake City to Charles and Florence Pittenger. She graduated from the University of Utah in 1947 and later worked as a stenographer. She married her sweetheart, Keith Cook Woolley on June 20, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was active in the Church and held many callings. Keith and Dorothy raised six wonderful children together and she was a loving, caring mother. She will be greatly missed.

Special thanks to her loving neighbors for their help and friendship. Heartfelt appreciation to Luseane Vite and Karen Zinn (her "other daughters") for their caring, love and dedication.

Survived by her children, Becky Scanlon, Robyn(Scott)Reese, Philip Braden(Deedo)Woolley, Diane(Gaylen)Nielson, Michelle(Chris) Hansen, Jill Kuhn (Matt Nielson); 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and sister, Margaret Malone. Preceded in death by husband; parents; brother, Robert Pittenger; and son-in-law, Michael Scanlon.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Olympus 3rd Ward, 4100 South Camille Drive (2480 E), where friends and family can visit from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
