Douglas James Mounteer

Doug Mounteer, 62, of Sandy, Utah, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026. Born on November 23, 1963, in Murray, Utah, Doug grew up with grit and determination that he carried throughout his life. Known for his tough exterior and no-nonsense approach, those who truly knew him understood the deep loyalty, generosity, and fierce love he held for his family and friends.

Doug spent much of his life working with his hands building, fixing, and took pride in a job done right. He loved the mountains, a day on the lake. Beneath his rugged demeanor was a man who would drop everything to help someone in need.

The family will hold a celebration of Doug's life at a later date, where stories will be shared, and his memory will be honored in the way he would have wanted surrounded by the people he loved.
