Douglas Wilson Cameron, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with his loving wife, Viola Cameron, by his side.
Doug was born on March 24, 1959, to Dave Cameron and Lois Ann Cameron. He lived a life defined by love, loyalty, hard work, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to his family and friends.
Doug shared a wonderful life with his wife, Viola. Together they built a lifetime of cherished memories. Whether they were cheering on their favorite sports teams, taking trips to Wendover, enjoying backyard barbecues with family, or simply spending quiet moments together, Doug treasured every minute by her side.
A devoted fan of the Raiders and BYU athletics, Doug rarely missed a game and proudly supported his favorite teams. He also found great joy on the golf course and especially loved spending time with the people he cherished most.
Doug dedicated 15 years of service to L3 Communications, where he earned the respect and admiration of his coworkers through his strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment.
Doug is survived by his loving wife, Viola Cameron; his children, Cindy, Marty, JD, and Corbin; his father, Dave Cameron; his sister, Barbara Cox (Bruce); his brothers, Scott and Gary (Lisa); his grandchildren, Hilary, Makayla, and Victor; his great-grandchildren, Jaxxon, and Rex who was truly the light of his life and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Ann Cameron; his grandson, Eddy; his brother, Rod Cameron; and his faithful companions, Missy Mae, Fabby, and Biggie.
Doug's legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the memories he created, and the family he loved so deeply. Although he will be profoundly missed, his love, kindness, and generous spirit will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road.
