Drew William Hansen

Drew William Hansen, age 81, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026. He was born on October 5, 1944, and lived a life marked by devotion to family, faith, and service.

Drew faithfully served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Southern States Mission beginning in 1965. He later served his country as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1969.

On April 30, 1969, Drew married the love of his life, Diana Lee Morton. Spending 57 years together, through good times and bad, they forged a loving relationship that extends through their generations and into the eternities.

Drew had a deep love for the outdoors. He found great joy in fishing, camping, and especially in spending time sharing his passion for those activities with his five children, 20 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Throughout his life, Drew worked in a variety of fields, including the printing industry, real estate, and later as a bus driver for Alpine School District, where he was known for his reliability and kindness.

Drew is survived by his beloved wife, Diana, and his children: Blake G. Hansen (Carie), Natalie A. Johnson (Marc), Brett W. Hansen (Brynn), Melissa S. Vance (Ryan), and Jared P. Hansen (Amanda) as well as his brothers David Hansen and Dale Hansen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evan and Geneva Hansen, and his brother, Peter Dorell Hansen.

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 1, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM and again on Saturday, May 2, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel located at 947 N Jack Rabbit Run, Saratoga Springs, Utah. Funeral services will follow at the same location from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Interment will take place at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery in Cottonwood Heights.
