Duane Kay Orton

Duane Kay Orton passed away on October 28, 2023 in Salt Lake City. He was born on June 13, 1940 in Delta, Utah to Preston Dee Orton and Althea Thompson Fridaye. Duane married Sharon Twede on December 1, 1960. He later married Maria Gloria Vivas on May 30, 2007.

Duane was a loving husband, father, uncle, grandpa, and friend. He loved athletics, cars, the outdoors, and family. Duane was a talented designer, craftsman, and artist.

He is survived by his wife Gloria Vivas, his children Troy Orton (Tammy), Traci Miller (Don),
Barbara Seui (Vai), and Francisco Torrens, his grandchildren Isaiah, Noah, Jacob, Joshua, Lucas, Kendall, Ryan, Mele, Naki, Gloria, Phoenix, and Oshynn, and many nieces and nephews.

Duane is preceded in death by his wife Sharon Twede Orton, granddaughter Leeanna Lapuaho, granddaughter Mahalia Torrens, his brother Jackie D. Orton, and his sister Emma Houston.

A funeral service will be held on November 3, 2023 at Wasatch 4th Ward, 8170 S. Short Hills Drive, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121 at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held prior from 10:00 - 10:45 AM.

Interment will follow at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery located at 3115 E. 7800 S. Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121.
