Duane John Sundloff

March 3, 1935 — June 14, 2015

On a beautiful summer day dad left his home surrounded by his family to go join his "Bride" Lucretia Ann Sundloff "Cre" our mom on the other side.

Duane John Sundloff was born March 3rd, 1935 to John T. Sundloff and Leone E. Sundloff. Duane was their only son and youngest brother to his sister Melve. We know our dad has just had a "HUGE" awakening on the other side as we're sure he was greeted with love by his wife Cre (our mom) his mother, father, sister, mother and father-in-law (Okey K. and Olleva Davis) and brother and sister-in- laws.

Duane was always proud of his "Sundloff" and "Kelley" Ibapah legacy and history.
On December 8th, 1951 he took Lucretia Ann Davis "Cre" as his wife. For over 61 + years they built a wonderful life revolved around family. Together they were blessed with five children, Claudia Ann Collett (Douglas), D. John Sundloff (Joy), Thomas K. Sundloff (Meladie), Stephen K. Sundloff (Cidnie) and Laura Peay Greene (John).  Family was the core of everything to our parents. From these 5 children they had 15 Grandkids and to date 40 Great- Grandchildren. Dad was so proud of his legacy.
Dad enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, boating and all sports activities. He started his own automotive shop and was self-employed for over 40 years.  Dad and mom enjoyed their later years during the winter at their home in Hurricane, Utah

Our dad was "one of a kind"! Our dad built a strong legacy of family based on togetherness. We're so glad to call him dad, grandpa, grandpa- great, Uncle Du, and friend.
He was preceded in death by both parents, his wife Lucretia (Cre), his sister Melve Bublitz Ricks, his father and mother-in-law, his sister & brother-in-laws Art Jarl, Harry Sneed & Richard & Della Mae Horak.

We know dad would have never even made it this long without the extra support from his grandson Lance (Sierra) Sundloff who became dads full time care takers. At times it required EXTRAORDINARY CARE. We also express our sincere gratitude to the staff at CareSource. Their loving and skilled staff in the last several months who came daily to dad's house to assist.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 19th, 2015 at LDS Stake Center, 2675 East 4430 South, SLC, where visitations will be held on Thursday, June 18th from 6-8 pm and on Friday, June 19th, 2015 from 9:30-10:30 prior to the service. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
