Easton James Platt, age 34, was born to Brian Lloyd Platt and Tanya Lee Powell Platt on November 7th, 1991 and passed away peacefully, reuniting with his Savior and his father, on December 16th, 2025 after a 14 year battle with a brain tumor and a sudden spread of the tumor in the prior two months.
Easton is a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, and friend. And a light to all. Always quick to share his unique interests and hobbies, people got to know his “Fabulous 5” list of bands which include The Alan Parsons Project, The Beatles, Electric Light Orchestra, The Moody Blues, and Queen. He'd gladly share his different favorite movies in each genre. He also was working hard on his language, called Onweish, and loved to talk about the culture and food his Onweish people might have. If you were a visitor at his house, you most likely got to meet some of his stuffed animal friends including Matthew the Moose, Curious George, Cubby the teddy bear, and Pikachu.
Ever dependent on routine, Easton made sure to treat his mother to restaurant meals every Monday and Friday for the last several years. He loved trying new cuisines and especially loved escargot, sushi, and China Platter’s hot and sour soup.
Easton had autism and spent most of his years innocent, mischievous, and cheerful. He had a passionate desire to do what was right, follow Jesus Christ, and make amends quickly. The brain tumor and treatments eventually increased some mental health challenges which caused him frequent sorrow, but he still had the strength to share many happy times too. During the final week of his life, troubling obsessions seemed non-existent, and he enjoyed so many moments even through more physical pain, and some of his final words were “I do not feel sad” as he enjoyed a big bowl of ice cream.
Our family will be ever grateful for his job coaches who helped him at Texas Roadhouse for more than 8 years. He loved his regular coke for his hard work. Don't worry, he was paid too. Other special thanks go to his health care team, Special needs primary and adult program volunteers, and to anyone who took the time to enjoy chatting with him. We love you, Easton.
