Our beloved Edith Eva Grace Reudter Beagley returned to her Heavenly Father on December 28, 2025 in Eagle Mountain, UT at the age of 97 surrounded by love. She was born on February 28, 1928 in Salt Lake City, UT to Albert Herman Reudter and Edith Caroline Larson.
She married Glen Ray Beagley on February 26, 1947 and later sealed as a forever family in the Salt Lake Temple. Edith was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served in many capacities. Edith had two daughters, Sandra and Susan, who were her best friends. They spent time together as often as possible.
Edith was the glue of the Beagley family, taking care of her husband, Glen, who had muscular dystrophy until his passing, and her daughter Susan, who had cerebral palsy all her life, without any complaints. Edith continued to care for Susan until she got pneumonia at the age of 90 and could no longer take care of herself or Susan. Edith was small of stature reaching the max height of 5’1” but had the strength of a warrior.
She was passionate about her family. She loved spending time with them and would always say that she was happy to see us. Edith loved flowers and had the envy of the neighborhood’s garden that she tended to with such care. She could not get enough ice cream, even refusing to eat anything else in her last days.
She spent some time in an assisted living facility, but the last 5 years were with her granddaughter Melanie’s family who lovingly gave her the care she required in her final years.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Derfler (Ron), 5 grandchildren: Michelle (Jeff) Anhder, Sean (Jamie) Derfler, Melanie (Shawn) Parker, Micah (Samantha) Derfler, and Shane (Kim) Derfler, 17 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren with 2 more on their way.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Glen, her daughter, Susan, her parents Albert and Edith, and her sister, Maxine.
We would like to express our appreciation to nurses and caregivers from Aspen Ridge Hospice. You made her final days comfortable.
