Edith Sanders

Edith Esther Perschon Sanders, 90, passed away peacefully Sunday morning in her home with her family lovingly around her. She is now free of the many physical problems she has endured so gallantly and gracefully. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, the ninth and last child of William F Perschon and Johanna Elise Bucholz Perschon. Edith was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family and the family get togethers. She especially loved music and wouldn't miss listening to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Sunday mornings. When younger she was a Sunday School teacher in her ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved our Savior and his gift of eternal life through the atonement he suffered for all.

She married William R Sanders in the Logan LDS Temple on July 8, 1946 after their "courtship by mail" while he served in the Pacific during World War II. They recently celebrated their 68th anniversary.

She is survived by her husband, Bill, children, Joe (Lana), Christy (Dennis) Mabey, and Steve, fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, eight siblings, two sons, William Jr. and Greg (whose wife Suzanne survives with four children).

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11:00am at the Olympus 2nd Ward, 3070 East Nila Way (4140 S). Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday evening 6-8pm at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church Friday morning 9:30-10:30am prior to the service. Interment at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery.
