Elda Garfield Moss

Elda Garfield Moss passed away peacefully at home on October 22, 2011. She was born in Tremonton, Utah July 19, 1918 to Homer Garfield and Lucy (Shaw) Garfield. She graduated from Granite High School and later married her high school sweetheart, James Weston Moss, Sept 3, 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple and they have shared 71 joyful years together.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to everyone. Her gracious manner and loving way will be missed and remembered by everyone that knew her. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many leadership and teaching positions.

Elda is survived by her husband Weston and their daughters: Barbara Henrie [Dave] Delta; Jolenne Sherratt (Reid) Kanab; LaVelle Christensen (Kyle) Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by her father and mother and baby sister Iva Lucy. She has 12 grandchildren and 30 great-grand-children.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 25th in Valley View 4th Ward, 2125 Evergreen Avenue, SLC. Friends may call prior to the services at 10:30 a.m. funeral at 12:00 p.m. Interment Elysian Garden Cemetery. Online memories and tributes can be sent to the family at www.holbrookmortuary.com
