Eldon Luke Briggs

Eldon was a long time resident of Rexburg, ID and Salt Lake City, UT. His parents are Lester Luke and Mary Lilly Baylif Briggs. Eldon married Vivian Beth Sharp on March 3, 1942 in the Mesa Arizona Temple. Beth passed away in October 8, 2000.

Eldon owned Briggs Plumbing and Heating in Rexburg, Idaho and later worked for the University of Utah where he retired.

Eldon has 2 sons, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. His son Blaine married Kathleen Hoffman (Rigby, Idaho) and Dean married Kathy Orrell (Sandy, Utah). He is also survived by brothers, Ernest (Mesa Arizona); and Val (Chubbuck, Idaho); and sisters, Zella Perrenoud (Orem, Utah), and Velma Chandler (Idaho Falls, Idaho). He is preceded in death by a brother, Darrell; and sisters, Bernice Weeks, and Arlene Briggs.

Funeral services will held Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 1:00pm at the Valley View Stake Center, 2245 East 3900 South, where friends and family can visit 11:30am-12:30pm prior to the service. Interment will be at the Sutton Cemetery in Archer, Idaho on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 1:00pm.
