Eleanor Rebecca (Johnson) Conlon

November 1, 1928 — January 22, 2015

The spirit has cast off the earthly robes this January 22, 2015. Ellie passed away after a short illness. The fourth child born in Salt Lake City to Lawrence and Hedda Kaalstad Johnson.
Ellie managed motherhood, PTA, scouting, sundry church jobs, the rigors of the children's teen years, serious family health problems, plus a career as a legal secretary, and home and gardens. She adored her husband of 65 years, James Richard Conlon, her six children, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. They traveled far and near in the glorious RV from Alaska to Baja and crisscrossing the USA. Later they had touring adventures by bus, plane and car visiting a multitude of foreign countries; she especially loved cruises. She lived a richly rewarding life.

She is survived by one sister Carole Lamper, three daughters Stacey (Steven Mitchell), Sandra, Ronna; one son Ryan (Charlotte), three grandchildren Kim Cazier, Tiffiny Kramer (John Meredith), Brett Kramer (Shayna), and four great grandchildren, Kasey, Nickolas, Mikayla (all Kramers) and Tanner Cazier. She was preceded in death by her husband James, her parents, three older siblings Ruby, Helen, Lawrence, and two daughters Sydney and Cheryl.

Ellie loved flowers, but their beauty is fleeting. A lasting remembrance is a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF.org). Thanks to the wonderful caregivers at Quality Home Health & Hospice and Home Care Assistance.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
