Elena Licia De Vita

Elena Licia Bossi was born in Fiume, Italy in 1925. She met her late husband Davide De Vita in Vicenza, Italy, where they married and had their first son, Guido, in 1950. After emigrating to the United States, they had their son Nicola in 1958. In 1985, Davide and Elena moved back to Italy until 1987. They soon found themselves returning to Utah, and Elena spent the remaining years of her life in Salt Lake City.
By living alone for 27 years, she became a strong, independent woman. Elena moved in with her son Nicola and wife Georgeann in March of 2023, who were blessed to be with her and take care of her until her passing. After a long and loving life, she passed away quietly in her sleep.
Elena was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was preceded in death by her husband Davide and her parents along with two sisters. She is survived by her sons Guido and Nicola (Georgeann), sister Laura Bossi, brother Antonio Bossi, and grandchildren Vincente, Dimitri, and Antonio.
Elena loved her family and friends deeply and never failed to show it. We will miss her genuine humility and love, and her kind spirit will never be forgotten.
