Elton Lynn Berry

January 1, 1950 — April 2, 2026

Elton Lynn Berry, age 76, passed away on April 2, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Lynn was born on January 1, 1950, in Cedar City, Utah, to Donald J. Berry Sr. and Myrtle Joyce Howe. He was one of eleven children.

At the age of 18, Lynn married Connie, and together they welcomed their daughter, LuDene. In 1972, he married Linda Jean Perry, and they added two children to their family: Steven and Jolene. In 1979, Lynn married Letha Nuttall, welcoming her son, Jason Black, into the family and later celebrating the birth of their daughter, Angela. On May 8, 1993, Lynn married Hilary Smith Seibert, and with her son, Gary Seibert, his family was complete. Lynn and Hilary shared 32 years of marriage.

Lynn was a dedicated and hardworking man who instilled a strong work ethic in his children. He was known for his firm sense of right and wrong, yet he loved deeply and was always willing to help anyone in need—often accepting nothing more than a heartfelt “thank you” from those he supported during difficult times.

For many years, Lynn drove trucks both long-distance and locally, traveling to every state except Hawaii and Alaska. After moving his family to Tooele in the 1980s, he began a career in car sales, eventually working his way into management. He had an extraordinary memory, able to recall every customer he sold a car to, along with the exact make, model, and color of their vehicle.

Lynn’s love of cars extended beyond sales. He spent countless hours repairing vehicles and had an uncanny ability to diagnose a problem simply by hearing a car drive down the road.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Hilary Seibert Berry; his children Gary Seibert, LuDene Carter, Steven Berry (Jada), Jason Black (Sam), Jolene Eyre (Patrick), and Angela Cullimore (Trent); 16 grandchildren; and 10 great‑grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Lonnie Berry, Mike Berry, Karon Berry, Trish Berry, Donald Berry, Nina Christensen, Melvin Berry, Donna Wilkerson, Carol Berry, and Darcy Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald J. Berry Sr. and Myrtle Joyce Howe Jones, and son‑in‑law, Mike Carter.
