Woody worked on the Minute Man program for Thiokol and then as a procurement officer at Hill Air Force Base until retiring. He returned to work for a few years working at Tooele Army Depot. It was at that time that he and Carolyn picked up roots and moved to Tooele.
Woody loved playing golf, watching tournaments, and anything to do with golf. After Carolyn passed away in 2013, he filled his lonely hours with a new hobby of ballroom dancing, even going to Hawaii to compete in a dance competition. (Woody met and married Marlene Hancock in 2016 and they had two lovely years together before she passed away in 2018.
Woody was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various callings in the Church. He loved serving in the Lakeview Ward of the Roy North Stake.
Woody was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Duane and his wife Carolyn. He is survived by his 6 children David (Marilyn) Watts, Stephen (Monique) Watts, Lori (Merrill) Child, Darin (Kim) Watts, Bryan (Amber) Watts, and Jennifer (Sean) Barnard.
