Ercelia Rose Edwards 

February 1, 1936 – June 14, 2024

 Ercelia Rose Edwards, “Rose” a beloved mother, grandmother, great great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2024. Born on February 1, 1936, In Rio Arriba, New Mexico, to Simona Archuleta and Pedro Herrera, she was one of eight siblings. Rose lived a full and vibrant life, bringing joy and warmth to everyone she encountered.

 Rose is survived by her devoted daughters, Del Perez, Lorraine Martinez and her loving son, Steve Martinez. Preceded in death by sons Jake, Pete, Herman, daughter Maryann, granddaughter Lisa Martinez and great grandson Jesse. She was the cherished grandmother to many grandchildren who adore her and will forever hold her memory dear. 

Rose’s family was her pride and joy, and her love for them was boundless.

 Rose’s beautiful smile could light up a room, and her inviting and warm personality made her a friend to many. She had a remarkable strength and will that was truly admirable, inspiring those around her. Rose’s deep love for her church and music, along with her zest for life and being out and about, defined her vibrant spirit.

 Her caring, sweet, and funny nature made her a joy to be around. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion.

 Ercelia Rose Edwards will be deeply missed, but her spirit and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
