Erma Rogers Bardsley

November 30, 1931 — September 12, 2014

Having valiantly lived a life filled with faith and service, our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Erma Rogers Bardsley, passed away at her home in Highland, Utah on September 12, 2014. The third of four children, Erma was born November 30, 1931 in Bountiful, Utah to Lee L. Rogers and Orlean Briggs. She married her sweetheart, Leo Kent Bardsley, on May 22, 1952 in the Manti LDS Temple.

Erma and Kent fulfilled a Family History Mission in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, and also faithfully served together for 22 years in the Salt Lake Temple. Erma loved family history, working in her yard, picnicking in the canyon and serving her family. She was devoted to her five children, 18 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Roger (Glenda), David (Leigh), Karen Noyce (Shaun), and Craig (Julie); sister, Leone; and brother, Jerry. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Randy; sister, Donna; and granddaughter, Robyn.

A funeral service will be held for family and close friends at 10:30am on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East. Friends may visit with the family during the viewing on Thursday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and also on Friday morning from 9:00am to 10:00am at the Mortuary prior to the service. Interment and dedication of the grave will be at 2:30pm in the Gunnison City Cemetery. Messages to the family can be posted at: www.HolbrookMortuary.com
