Eva Jean Petersen Hintze

May 11, 1930 — February 7, 2008

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully Thursday, February 7th surrounded by her family. Jean was born on May 11, 1930 to Allen and Lillian Petersen in American Falls, Idaho. As a youth she grew to love singing and dancing. She graduated from South High School in 1947. She was sealed to her sweetheart, Bruce Hintze on June 13, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. Jean's life was centered around her husband, 5 children, music and church service. She sang with the "Singing Mothers", many choirs and in a quartet with her friends in Holladay for many years. Jean also loved to go camping, fishing and deer hunting. She loved to care for her home, gardens and family. Her family will always remember the great holiday dinners, sacrifices and service she provided. She is survived by her eternal companion Bruce Hintze; children: Dianne Parker, Denise (David) Clark, Janet (John) Boren, Lisa (Steve) Adamson, Brian (Amy) Hintze; Brothers: Jay (Nancy) Petersen, Terry (Darlene) Petersen; 25 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Canyon Creek Assisted Living and St. Mark's Hospital for their outstanding and loving care.
