Eva Bernice Poulson Dietrick

In loving memory of our wonderful mother, Eva Bernice Poulson Dietrick.  Born March 2, 1920 in Clear Creek, Carbon County, Utah.  Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 11, 2016.

Eva Bernice was the daughter of George Milo and Elseia Thompson Poulson.  Mom married Benjamin Milton Dietrick December 31, 1937.  Salt Lake City was their home where they raised five children.

Mother was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a member of the DUP organization and also was a volunteer at the Friendly Neighborhood Senior Center.

Mom looked forward to our annual Dietrick reunion, participating and visiting with all of her family.  She always brought the cake for dessert.

Mother was a beautiful quilter, homemaker, and most of all, she enjoyed working in her lovely yard.  Her peonies, iris, and snowballs beautified many graves of family near and far on special holidays.

Camping and fishing with her family played a special time in her life.  Mom was dad's office manager, helping his business grow to be successful while raising a large family.

Mom is survived by her brother, Boyd Couchman and sister LaRee Taylor and her five children; Kaye (Darrell) Tripp, Duane (Diana) Dietrick, Carol Lynn (Rex) Law, Margot (Terry) Lingwall, and Larry (Carolyn) Dietrick and 106 descendants spanning six generations. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Benjamin Milton Dietrick, parents, five siblings, grandchildren: Karen Hill, Todd Hill, Senea Brinkerhoff, and Amy Norr.

A Celebration of Life honoring our mother will be Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah at 11:00am.  Friends and family may call from 9:30am to 10:30am.  Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
