Evelyn Orme Palmer "Loving Mother"
Our loving and compassionate mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007 in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. She was the daughter of Edwin Marshall and Millie Orme. She grew up in a very loving and nurturing family in Tooele, Utah. She married Theo Irving Palmer May 20, 1938 in the Salt Lake Temple. Evelyn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions of service throughout her lifetime. Evelyn was a wonderful example of kindness, compassion, diligence, courage and womanhood to her family and all who knew her. She was often referred to as "such a lady". We will all miss her dearly. She is survived by her four daughters: Joan (David C.) Engh, Kathleen (Edgar W.) Barron, Diane (Gary L.) Barrett and Carolyn (Scott R.) Madson; 17 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-granddaughters. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 21, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. at the Valley View 4th Ward Chapel, 2125 Evergreen Avenue (3435 South). A viewing for family and friends will be held on Monday from 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
