Fae Wilkerson, age 86, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, in Murray, Utah.
Fae was born to Leo H. Cutler and Delpha B. Cahoon. She grew up alongside her three sisters, Yvonne, Kathleen, and Leona, and her brother, Michael.
On July 21, 1962, Fae married the love of her life, Kenneth Lowell Wilkerson. Together they built a life centered on family, dedication, and shared passions. They were blessed with four children: Tammy (Tim), Cathy (Jeff), Kenneth “Kenny” Wilkerson Jr., and Brenda, who preceded her in death on June 27, 2017. Fae was a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to 8 great-grandchildren.
Fae was deeply involved in the racing community, proudly supporting her husband’s passion for racing. She was a longtime member of the Salt Lake Valley Racing Association and the SLVRA Ladies Auxiliary. She loved watching her son, Kenny Jr., progress from stock cars to late models, earning multiple championships. Her passion extended to cheering on her grandsons, as they raced sprint cars, and watching her great-granddaughter race quarter midgets.
A true lover of the outdoors, Fae found her greatest joy in her flower garden and caring for her yard—often extending her help to neighbors as well. She enjoyed camping, boating, and fishing with her family and especially loved water skiing. Fae never skied on two skis—only one—and she was the best at it.
Fae faced many medical challenges throughout her life. In 1997, she survived three ruptured brain aneurysms. After two months in the hospital and two months of rehabilitation, she fought tirelessly to reclaim her independence. Though she experienced lasting effects to her memory, eyesight, balance, and mobility, her determination, the support of dedicated therapists, and the unwavering love of her family helped her regain much of her normal life. During the final five years of her life, she continued to struggle with memory and mobility but remained fiercely independent. Fae was a fighter until the very end.
One of Fae’s favorite places was Anna’s restaurant, where she formed close bonds with the staff who became like family to her. She loved each and every one of them, and that love was deeply returned.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Aplus Home Health and Hospice for their compassionate care, kindness, and support during Fae’s final journey. Your dedication and comfort meant more to our family than words can express.
Fae will be remembered for her strength, independence, loyalty, and deep love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of resilience, kindness, and unwavering determination that will live on in all who knew and loved her.
