Fern Maude Hawkins

Fern Maude Hawkins, age 83, passed away on October 5, 2023 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was born on February 28, 1940 in Provo, Utah to James Loyd Baxter and Berniece K. Baxter. Fern later married Larry Oran Hawkins on July 4.

Fern was a great wife, mother, and grandma. She worked for a meat factory in both Utah and Hawaii which she was very grateful for and the opportunity. She graduated from Provo High School and after graduating, Fern worked at Yellowstone for a season. She met the love of her life Larry Hawkins and moved out to Hawaii to be married to him.

Fern is survived by her daughter Mitzi Hawkins who resides in Florida, three grandchildren whom reside in Hawaii, Fantasha, Anastasia, and Angel Vea, and three great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Larry Hawkins, her daughter Teresa Hawkins, her parents James and Berniece Baxter, and by her two sisters Reva Pope and Laree Young.

An evening viewing will be held on October 23, 2023 from 6-8 PM, and a funeral service will be held on October 24, 2023 at 2 PM with viewing prior from 1-1:45 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary located at 6500 S. Redwood Rd, West Jordan, Utah 84123. Interment will immediately follow at the same location.
