Fina Gutierrez

September 5, 1946 — November 15, 2022

Fina passed very peacefully on November 15th, 2022. Born to Sarah M and Faustino Gutierrez in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from West High School and married her high school sweetheart Leon Roberts in 1967.
Although they were divorced for 35 years they were able to be close friends and remember great times. She met Stan Miller later on and they were together for 13 years.
She was an avid reader of Dan Brown and Stephen King, a big film fan for movies such as JAWS, Twister, Sense and Sensibility, Home for the Holidays, and everything in between. She loved to cook homemade Mexican food with tortillas, and as she would say “just feel the dough” when we would ask her to teach us on many occasions, and she made the best pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving! She enjoyed latch hook and crocheting. Our Mother highly enjoyed doing yardwork and gardening. Her most favorite thing to do was to go on long road trips and stop randomly in small towns to visit the sights, and see inside antique stores. Christmas being her favorite holiday, she started collecting Christmas bears every year with the year embroidered on their foot starting in 2001. She loved hanging lights inside her house and outside yard ornaments every year.
She highly enjoyed being a volunteer, making a lot of friends at LDS Hospital for five years where she worked at the Information desk, and Gift Shop helping employees, patients and their families.
Preceded in death by her son Patrick, her mother Sarah, her father Faustino, her brother Vince and Stan Miller. She is survived by her daughters JoAnn Hampton (Aaron), Sara Roberts, two additional children she accepted as her own Sam Adams, Rosita Torres, and her loving granddaughter Kandice Rose.
