Floyd James Herlin Jr

Floyd James Herlin (Jim) was born on October 15, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Floyd and Della Herlin. After a battle with cancer, he died on May 26, 2024. 

Jim was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions in the Church throughout his life. He served a mission to the Japan West Mission. 

Jim worked for Deseret Book, Kennecott, and then for the United States Postal Service. He loved the BSA and was a proud Eagle Scout. He loved sports - particularly baseball and more particularly the Pittsburgh Pirates. 

Jimmy is survived by his wife Connie, children: Lesley, Jaci, Jill (Brian), and Greg (Jessica), and grandchildren: Thomas, Kristi (Mitchell), Alex, Sam, Taylor, Daniel, Kiera, Dyanna, Josephine, and Jasmine. He is also survived by brothers Bob and Russell and sister Kendra. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Carl. 

Jim will be buried at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, following a brief private graveside service.
