Frances Faye Gunnuscio

Frances Faye Gunnuscio passed away peacefully on October 29, 2022 at Life care Center in Bountiful, Utah. Fran was born on August 2, 1943 in Owensboro, Kentucky, where she lived until she was fifteen years old. She then moved with her mother to southern California. Fran met and married Earl Elwood later divorced. Together they had three children Wayne, Donna, and Robert. Wayne and Robert both passed away at an early age.
Fran met Frank C. Gunnuscio and the two were married in 1994. They made their home in Hanford, California later moving to Utah, living in Kearns, Utah. Frank and Fran loved the outdoors, and their beloved pets especially the last two border collies they owned, Daisy and Bella. Early in their marriage they were bikers riding motor cycles all over California. Later after moving to Utah they would load up their motorhome and head off to Jordenelle reservoir for the weekend. Frank Passed away in February 2018.
Fran was a very hard worker, and Job she had she gave it her all and was a very good employee. Fran worked full time until she finally retired at 77. At the time of her retirement Fran had work for Superior Automotive Parts warehouse for a number of years. Driving all over the valley delivery parts to auto repairs shops.
Fran lived a simple life, fancy things did not interest her, Fran’s philosophy was “if it works that is all the matters to me” she drove a 2003 Highlander and had very modest furnishings. Glamor and glitz were not part of her life. Fran loved Neil Diamond and had memorabilia from concerts she went to and knew every song. Fran was a detail in everything she did. She kept the post it note company in business with all her sticky notes everywhere. Everything had a place and needed to be placed back in its place.
Fran had a great faith and knew exactly where she would spend eternity. Even when the cancer won she was not fearful. She prayed all the time about everything and everyone. She was loved by all who knew her. Fran was fortunate to see her great-great granddaughter and have a five generation picture taken before her passing.
Fran is preceded in death by her two sons Wayne and Robert Elwood and husband Frank Gunnuscio and her beloved border collie Daisy girl. Fran is survived by her daughter Donna Elwood of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, her granddaughter Amber Elwood, great granddaughter Keionna, great-grandson Dameion Bostic and great-great grand princess Sophia of Dunmore, Pennsylvania. And her brother in law Jim (MaryAnn) Gunnuscio and family of Woods Cross, Utah
