Frances Dorothy Huddlestone Broadhead passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Monday, March 12, 2012 at the age of 80, of complications related to post-polio syndrome. Her labors are over and she is at peace, in the company of her parents, two brothers and a grandson who preceded her. Fran was born April 12, 1931, in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, to Mathilda Bischke and Francis Orsby Huddlestone. She met Raymond Jesse Broadhead at a church picnic, and they were married March 16, 1955 in the Cardston, Alberta, Canada LDS Temple. For 35 years, Fran and Ray owned and operated a mining assay laboratory, where she was office manager, scientist, receptionist, analyst, secretary, chemist, and "boss". Ray merely worked there, but Fran ran the business. To her family, she was known as "Granie", which to us means "love". She loved everyone she met, and they loved her. She spent her life showing her love by serving others. She loved genealogical extraction, and over the course of 23 years, she extracted over 2 million genealogical records. In lieu of flowers, she would ask you to login to indexing.familysearch.org, and volunteer to extract a set of genealogical records. Her husband Ray, children Dan Broadhead (Becky), Kathy Lyon (Bruce), Peggy Lester (Glenn Crossway) and Mark Broadhead (Karen), brothers Bob and Ralph Huddlestone, 14 grandchildren, 2A
