Frank Philip Arendt

Frank Arendt (69) passed away due to pancreatic cancer on Sunday, January 31st, 2010. His strikingly intelligent honest nature and his zest for engineering, building, and refining will always be remembered. He was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota to Cyrene (Heinonen) and Frank Arendt Sr. At the age of 22, he married Charlotte (McCaffrey) of Albuquerque, New Mexico. They moved to Park Forest, IL; Appleton, WI; and settled in the Wisconsin Rapids, WI area where they spent 35 wonderful years before retiring to Salt Lake City, UT in 2002.

Frank has been a wonderful brother, husband, father, and grandfather who encouraged individuality and strength of character. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Charlotte Arendt (Salt Lake City, UT) as well as his four children Joseph (Parma, OH), James (Austin, TX), Anne (Pleasant Grove, UT), and Philip (Salt Lake City, UT). He is also survived by his grandchildren Olivia, Alex, Katie, Emma, Timothy and Seamus; and two of three sisters Margaret Schall (Fremont, CA) and Mary LaCasse (Denver, CO).

A service will be held at Saint Ambrose Church in Salt Lake City, UT on Saturday, February 13th with visitation at 11:00 a.m. and service at 12:00. For more information, you may reach Charlotte at caarendt@comcast.net or at 801-484-0997.
