Frank J. MacKain was born in Mt. Tabor, NJ on June 27, 1925. WWII interrupted his college plans and after many heroic acts including one earning him the Bronze Star for Bravery, Uncle Frank returned to graduate from Columbia University. He then embarked on a successful career, spanning over 50 years as a Wall Street Trader and Investment Advisor. Choosing to spend his retirement years where he vacationed at Alta, he left his home state of NJ for Salt Lake City, UT where he continued his life as an avid skier and golfer and on one occasion obtained the coveted "Hole in One". Always quick to smile with a story in hand you always had his ear. He will be missed by many. He is survived by his Sister-in-Law Alba MacKain, Niece Liana Griffiths, and Nephew Mark MacKain. Services will be held at the Christ United Methodist Church, 2375 E. 3300 S., on Monday, March 31, 2008 at 4:00 PM, friends may visit with the family from 2:45 PM to 3:45 PM prior to services. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.holbrookmortuary.com. As a final tribute to Uncle Frank the family would welcome your favorite hand written or typed story about Uncle Frank for a scrap book of memories to be dropped off at the church prior to services on Monday.
