Our Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Cousin, Uncle and friend, Rudy Romero, 67, suddenly passed away from this life on June 11, 2022 after a long battle of ongoing health issues.
Rudy was born on July 7, 1954. He was blessed to have 2 sets of loving parents. Born to his biological parents Ray and Alice Jaramillo and at birth adopted to his parents Andy and Lee Romero of West Valley City. Rudy graduated from Granger High School in 1972 and went on to dedicate over 30 years working for Rocky Mountain Power (Utah Power and Light).
Rudy and Bonnie Ogden were married for 22 years then separated but remained close friends for their children. They settled in Taylorsville and raised their 3 children in that home.
Although he was dealt a difficult hand with his health he always remained positive and pushed forward with his memorable sense of humor. If you ever crossed paths with Rudy, he would consider you a life-long friend. He loved cheering on the Utah Utes, Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Angels and the Green Bay Packers. In his younger years and through out his childrens childhood they spent a lot of time camping in the Uintah Mountains. Later on in life he spent a lot of time chasing all the Classic car shows, collecting coins and baseball cards.
Rudy is a social butterfly and thrived off being surrounded by family and friends. His stubbornness may have gotten him in trouble a time or two, but his heart was big. He loved and cared for anyone it didn’t matter who you were. In 2020, Rudy received his favorite title of Grandpa and for the last two years has been overjoyed with love and spending time with his grandchildren.
We are heartbroken about our loss but relieved Rudy is no longer in pain. He is surrounded by many loved ones while cruising the skies of heaven in his favorite hot rod.
He is survived by his children; Ashlee Torgerson (Colby) and Andy Romero, the proudest Grandpa to Dawson (2 years old) and Markie ( 11 months old), Siblings; Nancy, Judy, Rose Maree, Pauline, Jerry, Violet and Mike, nieces, nephews and many close friends.
Preceded in death by his oldest son Austin Rudy Romero, his parents and sister Gloria Pacheco.
