Fred William Johnson, Jr.

Fred William Johnson, Jr. passed away June 25, 2015. He was born in Memphis, Tenn. to Bebee Jones and Fred William Johnson, Sr. on August 15, 1936.
After graduating from high school in South Bend, Ind. at age of 16, he attended Indiana University. He joined the Marine Corps and after 4 years he came home and went to Lane College in Jackson, Tenn. He moved to Los Angeles and worked at the Veteran Hospital as a x-ray technician until he retired.
He is survived by his two sons, Rowland and Darrell; and two step-sons, Shaun and Jarell; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He leaves two sisters, Oretha Anderson (Oakland CA), Barbara Smith (Compton, CA), and one brother, Chester Johnson (Las Vegas, NV); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
