Fuamaimauga Jason Puefua

Fuamaimauga Jason Puefua, age 53, passed away on October 11, 2023 in Bountiful, UT with his loving wife and children by his side. He was born on February 2, 1970, in San Francisco, California to Fei Fua Puefua and Yvonne Sioloa (Hunt) Puefua. He married Isabelle Rose Thompson on September 3, 1994. They were later sealed in the Oakland, CA Temple on May 17, 1997 and then sealed to their children as an eternal family on September 3, 2004 in the Bountiful, UT Temple.

Never afraid to state the obvious, his humor and wit made everyone smile and laugh.  A self-proclaimed Jeopardy Champion who loved poker and music, he expanded his knowledge while attending Healds Business College, but arguably learned the most from his full-time LDS missionary service in the Dominican Republic where he learned to speak fluent Spanish.  His many years working for AeroGround, INC. marked several notable accomplishments, including business travel to Japan for management meetings. As a proud San Francisco native, he was an avid fan of the 49ers, Golden State Warriors, the Cal Berkeley Bears, and the San Francisco Giants.  Though large in stature, Fua will more likely be remembered for his gentle kindness and abundant generosity.  

He is Survived by his wife Belle, sons, Fuamaimauga Jordan Puefua, Fei Joseph Puefua, daughter-in-law, Aileen Puefua,  his grandsons, Elijah Tautai Puefua and Sonny Puefua and his brother Reginald. He will also be greatly missed by his family and friends who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fei and Yvonne Puefua, his brother Pele Puefua, his sisters Herninn Peni, and Punipuao Mulipola, and his grandson Aston Puefua. 

A Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 1030 a.m. located at 455 South 1200 East Bountiful, Utah 84010 with a funeral service to begin at 11:15 am. The Interment will follow at 1:00 pm at the Memorial Lakeview, Utah Cemetery at 1640 Lakeview Drive. in Bountiful, Utah.
