George Norman Davie

George Norman Davie, loving father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 10, 2015. He was born in Ophir, Utah on April 21, 1927 to Norman and Ermma Russell Davie. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn Lavonia Barnett.
George and Marilyn created, and ran a successful retail flooring business for over 30 years in the Salt Lake City area.
He and Marilyn were able to travel extensively during the years after their retirement. George enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycling, and target shooting.
George is survived by his son, Jeff Davie (Suzy), and his grandchildren Ian and Taylor.
The family would like to thank all of those who aided in Georges care in recent years.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 11:00am at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South.
