George Robert Hall

George Robert Hall, 58, died suddenly July 22, 2009 at his home in Salt Lake City due to complications from congestive heart disease. George was born on September 2, 1950 in North Adams, Massachusetts to Robert "Bob" George Hall and Margaret "Marnie" Anna Stanley Hall. He graduated from White Station High School in Memphis, Tennessee and lived in Memphis until he moved to Salt Lake in 1986. He worked many years at Dave Kissell's Chevron in Cottonwood Heights and Business Cards Tomorrow in Salt Lake City.

George loved going to Wendover, watching car races on TV, going to breakfast at Dee's, talking politics, getting a good deal, the Grateful Dead and classic cars. He had a strong work ethic, was fiercely honest and a loyal brother, uncle, and friend. George could always be counted on for a good joke and a hearty laugh.

He is survived by his father Bob, brother Bill (Phyllis), sisters Robin (Jim) Stephen and Diana Wilson, stepbrothers Bryan (Karen), Rusty, and Norman Kerr, 15 nieces and nephews, Larry and Paula Brooks, Julie and Mark Hardman and many other close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Marnie, stepmother Faye, and stepbrothers Terry, Ralph, and Trent Kerr and his beloved cats Fifty Cents and Eighty-Five Cents.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brookshire Ward, 3487 South 1300 East, where friends and family can visit from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
