Gerald Ray Dennies

June 13, 1953 — March 22, 2026

Gerald (Jerry) Ray Dennies, a cherished individual known for his kind and caring, loving and humorous personality, peacefully departed March 22, 2026. Jerry was born June 13, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Gerald Ray Dennies Sr. and Mary Ellen Cheney. He enjoyed a life of tremendous passion and service towards others. Jerry grew up in Kearns, Utah got married and divorced in 1974. He later found the love of his life and married Sandra Taylor in 1981. They made their permanent home in Magna, Utah and went on to raise 2 more beautiful children together. All who knew Jerry would agree that he was the most loving and devoted husband, father, and employee a person could ever ask for. Many lives were greatly enriched by his presence, and his departure will forever leave an unfillable void in their hearts. My hope is that everyone finds some comfort and peace in the everlasting memories they shared.

Jerry is preceded in death by wife Sandra, brother Steve, Mother Mary Cheney, and 2 grandsons Gavin Memmott and Ashton Peck.

Survived by siblings Tammy(William) Sarzalejo, Laurie(Less) Mounter, Karrie(David) Keith, Tracy and Curtis, children Brooke, Cody(Amanda), and Angela(Sean) Hamilton, Niece Emily Sarzlaejo, grandkids Dezerae(Terry) Messer, Kendra Otterstrom, Breanna(Carlos) Martinez, and Chance Tate. He also leaves behind great grandkids Greyson, Avery, Elanore, Alaina, and Andre, many close friends and “adopted” daughters Jessie and Melody(Chance) Carter, and grandkids Ozzy, Harmony and Junior. His legacy of love and resilience will live on in the hearts of family and friends.
