Geraldine Mitchell Buckway

Geraldine Mitchell Buckway, age 90 passed away on September 29, 2023 in Taylorsville, Utah. She was born on January 22, 1933 in Spring Lake, Utah to Ernest Mitchell and Nora Mitchell. 

Geri married La Grand Brady on August 10, 1950, they later divorced in January of 1970. She then married Joseph Buckway on May 5, 1973. 

Geri worked for over 21 years at Parker Packing and built many friendships while there. Geri enjoyed camping, fishing, and crocheting. She took pride in her yard and spent many hours perfecting it. Her real specialty was baking, especially her rolls. She made them every holiday and for every occasion. Everyone looked forward to them. She was a very special lady and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Geri is survived by her children Chad (Carollee) Brady, Lex (Cindy) Brady; stepsons Jeff (Darlene) Buckway, Kevin Buckway; 14 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Buckway; daughters Kathy Bawden, Vickie Hakanson, Kellie Belin; son Kevin Brady; brothers Lynn Mitchell, JD Mitchell; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held on October 9, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. A viewing will take place prior to services from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM.

Interment following services will be at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah
