Gilbert Sims Capson passed away September 11, 2012 following a stellar fight with cancer. He was born, May 26, 1933, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Irma Lucille Sims and Wilford Quayle Capson. He was born, raised and lived in the East Millcreek area. He married his high school sweetheart, Dorold Kae Meyerhoffer, May 4, 1953, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had six perfect daughters. Dorold passed away in 1970. He married Linda Rae Anthon later that year in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She brought music and love to the family. They had two children.

Gilbert built his business, Termite, Insect & Rodent Control, and was adored by his customers. Gilbert and Linda served an Inner-city mission and continued to serve the ward for ten years following their release. He was a home teacher extraordinaire. He loved his garden and orchard and he shared the bounty. He was a great storyteller.

He is survived by his wife, Linda, and six daughters: Susan (Kent) Southworth, Debra Capson, Melissa (Brad) Thompson, Nancy (Joseph) Zentner, Dorothy Capson (Kreg Calder), Barbara (Lynn) Draper; 23 grandchildren, 22 A
