Gilda K. Holder, age 68, of West Jordan, Utah, born on April 20, 1957 to Gilda Hekking, passed away on January 22, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to family.
She love Halloween, and anything to do with crafts. Her greatest accomplishment are her kids. She loved her kids more then anything!
Gilda is survived by her husband Kenneth Holder, her siblings Maryanne (Dale), Robert, Michael, Mark (Pam), and a devoted mother to David (Marilyn), Kathryn (Brent), Krista (Shane), Steven, and Jacob. She was a cherished grandmother to Heather, Kaylee, Mckynzey, Riley, Jace, Conner, and Alyssa, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her love extended even further to the many foster children she lovingly raised, offering them not only a home, but guidance, comfort, and unconditional care.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Chrissy; her mother, Gilda.
Gilda’s life was defined by selflessness, strength, and an extraordinary capacity to love. She had a rare gift for bringing light into the lives of others, creating a sense of belonging wherever she went. Her kindness touched countless lives, and her influence will live on through the children and grandchildren she nurtured, protected, and inspired.
Though her time on this earth was far too short, Gilda’s presence was profound. Her legacy is one of love freely given, lives forever changed, and a family bound together by her enduring spirit. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
Funeral services will be held on January 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary Cemetery, 3115 East Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121.
