Glen William McClain passed away May 24, 2015 at his home surrounded by family. Glen was born in Spanish Fork, Utah on January 10, 1935 to Mildred Harrison and Thomas Soren McClain. He married AnaRa Bradshaw on August 12, 1954.
Glen was a loving devoted Papa, Dad, Husband and friend and he will be greatly missed. He graduated from Provo High School in 1953 and attended the 65 year class reunion two years ago. Glen worked for 30+ years at Cream of Weber Highland Dairies which became Dean's Foods before his retirement in 1997.
Papa spent the last several years of his life enjoying his grandchildren and children. Papa loved listening to the sounds of his grandchildren as they would play and talk to him. Everyone loved playing in Papa's playground. He loved to do yard and garden work and was very particular in keeping his yard. Papa loved listening to his favorite music and watching all of the Utah Football and Basketball teams. He was also a great believer in learning and loved to study all different subjects. In his later life Papa found joy in going to lunch with his neighborhood Buddies. They have been a great support for him. Papa looked forward to his haircuts by Kay at Arlin's where he had been a customer since 1964.
Glen is survived by 7 children, Judy Kay (Brent) Jackson, Thomas J McClain, Michelle (Clyde) Rhodes, Connie (Jeff) England, Mary Jo (Sherman) Curtis, Carla (Dave) Hansen, and Bonnie Jean (Joe) Witherspoon; 30 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Preceded in death by his wife, AnaRa, parents, son Richard Glen McClain, sister Judy McClain Price, and granddaughter Jennifer Lee Rhodes.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00am at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, where friends and family can visit 9:30-10:30am prior to the service. Interment will follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
