Glenda Marie McFarlane Pixton, our loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on October 31, 2010. She was born in Salt Lake City on June 26, 1940 to John Clark McFarlane and Gladys Openshaw McFarlane. She was a twin and the youngest of 5 children. She was a graduate of East High and attended BYU. She married Floyd John Pixton on March 3, 1960 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had 7 children, Byron and Carolyn Gaye, Becky and Dean, Jim, Glen, Brent, Steve and Amanda, and David and Jerica, and many grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
She was very loving and giving and had the pure love of Christ. She loved writing and was an amazing seamstress, spending many hours sewing for others, making dolls, tents, clothing, and quilts. She loved the Bar J Wranglers, the outdoors, camping, animals, and celebrating with her family. She was a faithful member of the LDS church, serving wherever she was called. We will miss our sweet Glenda.
