Gordon Wes Forslund

Gordon died on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. He was born October 26, 1935, to Ruth and Cliff Forslund. The second of four children. He married Karen Lee Bishop on July 15, 1957. Together they raised 4 children, Mark (Michelle), Jeff (Sandy), Jill (Randy), and Lisa (Dan). Gordon spent 44 years in the grocery business with First Grand Central and then Smiths Food and Drug, where he retired in 1996. He served as a clerk, manager and then district manager. The next 10 seasons, he fulfilled his lifelong ambition, working as a Conductor for the Heber Valley Railroad. However, his greatest joy was trips made to Lake Powell with Karen and the kids. There they would boat, ski, hike and camp. 

Gordon is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Jesse. He is survived by his sweet wife Karen, 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. 

Services will be held Wednesday May 08, 2024, 6:00pm-8:00pm at Mountain View Memorial Mortuary located at 3115 East 7800 South Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121.
