Gordon D Sperry

On March 7, 2014, our hero and protector, Gordon D Sperry, left us for a long awaited reunion with his son, David. He met the challenge of living with diabetes for 45 years, but could not win his short battle with cancer.

Born May 26, 1932 in Nephi, UT to James Lamont and Ada Sperry. Graduated from Univ. of Utah. Served his country four years in the U. S. Air Force. He married his junior high sweetheart, Diane McKay, in the Manti Temple July 18, 1952. Active member in the LDS Church. His passion was golf. Family and others always came first. He was a beloved father figure to his six grandchildren.

Gordon is survived by his wife, daughters Nancy Hardy and Suzanne Faddis. Also survived by six grandchildren, two great-grandsons, and his sisters, Donna Madsen, Anita Young, Janice Budshun, and Joyce Marcus.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 14, 2014 at 10 am in the Canyon Rim Stake Center, 3051 S. 2900 E. Viewings will be held Thursday, March 13th from 6 to 8 pm at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 S. 2300 E. and at the Stake Center Friday 9 to 9:45 prior to the service. Interment in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
