Grace (Gees) deGroot, born 9/15/1935 in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. She immigrated to the United States with her mother and sister in 1950. Married Jan Coert Slinger October 25, 1952. Grace was very loving and put others before herself. She loved playing games with family and friends; especially pinochle. Grace’s greatest joy was her family and she always wished she’d had more grandkids. She is survived by her son, Michael (Elizabeth) Slinger, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, Pieter and Teresa (Tryntje Balt) deGroot and sister Akkie Hille. We will all miss her very much. An open house will be held: Tuesday 11/27/18 at: 11:00 a.m. Memorial Mortuary 5850 S 900 E Murray Utah.Service Information
