Harold Paul Hazell

"Hal"

Harold Paul Hazell, age 72, passed away August 10, 2011. Harold was born on April 20, 1939 in Paterson, NJ.

He went to Butler H.S. & interned as an auto mechanic for various dealerships. Over the years, he worked his way up to Service Manager & his last position was at a family operated dealership, Book, Buick, Chevrolet in Nutley, NJ, where he ran the Service Department until he retired in 2002 to the Myrtle Beach, SC area.

He was an avid golfer and could fix and anything imaginable with his "magic" hands. He was a loving and devoted husband and father.

He is survived by his wife and soul mate, Phyllis, who were married for 23 years. His daughters, Dawn Witty (CT), Wendy Weisse and husband Russ (NJ); his sister, Diane Carpenter (FL); stepson, Dr. Scott Zuckerman and wife Dr. Julie Asch (UT); and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to his caregivers at Avalon Valley who treated him with kindness and took good care of him.

He will be greatly missed.
