Harry Eugene Baker

Harry Eugene Baker passed away October 29, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born to Harry Ermine Baker and Etta May McDonald Baker on June 2, 1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married his high school sweetheart Marvetta Lindsay on August 3, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Harry was a World War II veteran in the China-Burma-India Theater. He held many different callings in the LDS church during his life. He worked for the D&RG railroad for over 42 years.

Harry is survived by his wife of 68 years Marvetta; his sons, Brent Lynn Baker (Peggy), Garry Lee Baker (Ellen), Bryce Wayne Baker (Sally), 19 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Larry Eugene Baker. A special thanks to Barbara, Jennifer and Melissa of Hospice care.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rosecrest 1st Ward, 3101 South 2300 East, where friends can visit with the family from 9:00 to 10:40 a.m. prior to the service.
