Obituary

Our beloved mother, Heidi Lynn Carsey, passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 65. She was a force of nature, a source of endless laughter, and the heart of our family. To know Heidi was to love her. Her generosity and kindness extended not only to family and friends but to all who knew her. Heidi was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in February 2020 and fought with courage and grace for 6 years.

Heidi was born and raised in Kearns, UT, where she met her sweetheart Neal. Neal and Heidi were married on June 23, 1979, where Neal says the best thing he ever did was say, “I do”, and was lucky enough for her to say “yes”. She gave them three gifts: Linzey, Kellen, and Kyle.

Her greatest joy in life was her family and supporting her grandchildren. Her spare time was spent at baseball games, football games, dance performances, and school events. She strived to be involved daily with the kids' lives and would spend countless hours on the phone and FaceTime to check how their day was going. If she wasn’t on the phone with her family, she was catching up with old friends with late-night phone calls or over a cup of coffee.

Heidi was a talented seamstress who started her own company, Heidi Carsey Design. She designed and created dance costumes for over 30 years for dance studios, drill teams, Stadium of Fire, Everwood filmed in Park City, and countless solo costumes across the state of Utah. Her sewing talents led to many meaningful and lasting friendships.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Neal, children Linzey (Jake), Kellen (Courtney), Kyle (Alley), and grandchildren Brinley, Cash, Harper, Tate, KJ, Beau, Kaiden, Porter, and Bron. Heidi was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Francine Harkness, brother Rick Harkness, mother and father-in-law, Norm and Molly Carsey, sister-in-law Toni Carsey and Sue Arveseth, and granddaughter Hailee Carsey. She is survived by her brother Lonnie (Joan) Harkness, Holly (Richard) Rolloff, and brother-in-law Stan Carsey.

Please join us to celebrate her life on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 6-9 pm at The Cove Clubhouse, 6849 W. New Maple Dr. (14800 S.), Herriman, UT 84096.

On behalf of the Carsey family, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to her medical team at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and support system with PanCan where she was able to serve as a volunteer. Without them, we would not have been gifted these last 6 years together.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Huntsman Cancer Institute.
