Helen Saina Ete (Lilomaiava)

Helen Saina Ete (Lilomaiava) passed away in West Valley City, on August 15, 2023. She was born to Sam Ah Yee and Faaeteete Tauala Fano in Utulei, American Samoa on September 1, 1959.
Helen was sealed for time and all eternity to her late husband Malae Ete. She was a graduate of Santa Ana Valley High School in June of 1977 and received her Registered Nurse License in 1980. Helen was blessed with two beautiful children, Clifford Lisale Brown and Kishon Brown Roe.
Helen worked as an emergency room nurse in San Diego, California and Honolulu, Hawaii. She later became the Director of Nursing in Waimea, Hawaii. During her 40-year career as a nurse, she worked in private practice as well as in urgent care and hospital settings.
In her limited free time, Helen enjoyed baking, dancing and talking on the phone with her family and friends.
Helen always put others first. She helped many with their immigration documents and legal statuses.
Helen is survived by her children Kishon and Clifford, five grandchildren, brothers Herbert, Ernest and Raymond, sisters Adeline and Edwinna.
She was preceded in death by her eternal companion Malae Ete, her parents Sam and Faaeteete Ah Yee, grandmother Maria Akenese Falaniko, sisters Elizabeth Niko and Estelle Ah Yee.
Funeral services will be held August 31, 2023 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Volta Ward) 4251 S. 4800 W. West Valley City, Utah.
Family service 10:00 am-12:00 pm
Bishop service 12:00 pm-1:00 pm
Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Mortuary at 2:00 pm 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123
