"Hand over the chocolate and no one gets hurt"

Helen MaRee Rowe Zoumadakis, our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, passed away Friday March 11, 2011 surrounded by her loving family.

Born November 30, 1931, Oakland, CA to Alice Pulsipher and John Stanley Rowe, later divorced. Helen grew up in Carbon County, Utah with her mother and step-father, Oscar LeGrand Pehrson. She graduated from Carbon High, 1950, where she displayed her zest for life as a cheerleader and majorette and enjoyed dancing, decorating floats, marching and twirling her baton in the Days of 47 Parades. She was a great athlete, playing softball with Mitchell's Mummies and she was a lifeguard.

After graduation she moved to Salt Lake and married William Zoumadakis on December 9, 1951, where they raised their four children.

She was a loving mother and housewife who found time to practice real estate and bookkeeping for the family businesses, Olympic Club and The Jocor. Helen was an ardent U of U football fan, loved camping and fishing, watching tennis, league bowling and swimming with her 10 grandchildren.

She was the fabric that held her family together always making holidays and gatherings special as she dearly loved her children and adored her grandchildren.

Survived by her children, Kathryn (Chris) Floor, George Zoumadakis, Melany Zoumadakis, and Wendy (Stephen) Wright; 11 grandchildren; and brother, Gordon (Ruth Ann) Pehrson. Preceded in death by parents and husband.
