Henry Florin passed away surrounded by loved ones. He was a devout Catholic who attended St Joseph the Worker Parish in West Jordan. At age 15, he started working in the grocery store business working up to management in the meat department, and retired from Smith's Food & Drug. Henry was a Veteran who served as a cook from 1966 to 1969, stationed in Korea near the DMZ.
Henry married the love of his life, Sherry Barney, on August 16, 1966, and together they enjoyed cruises, trips to Wendover, Las Vegas, and Santa Clarita, California. Henry enjoyed car shows, fishing, boating, camping but most of all he was an avid football fan. Henry and his dad will have the best seats at the upcoming Super Bowl, right above the players.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Florin, daughters Jennifer (Danny) Girch, Michelle (Bruce) LaMonica, and his grandchildren, whom he adored, Kylie, Trevor, Hunter, and Taiten. His brother, Mick (Anna) Florin, his sister Jo Ann Twisdale, and his cousin Patty (Terry) Opheikens. Henry is preceded in death by his father and mother, Ralph and Angelina Florin, brother-in-law Tom Twisdale, and nephew Joey Florin.
Henry was a kind and gentle man who will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on January 10, 2026, at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 7405 S. Redwood Rd. West Jordan, Utah 84084
