I. Scott Faulk

October 18, 1960 — September 16, 2022

Our husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend I. Scott Faulk, age 61, died unexpectedly at his home in Midvale, Utah.
He was born on October 18, 1960, in Hailey, Idaho to Carl F. Faulk and Myrta Hepworth Faulk.
He married Kapreal Colovich on April 25, 1984.
Scott lived in Idaho until the age of 16 when his family relocated to Sandy, Utah where he graduated from high school and then attended the University of Utah. Later while coaching a women’s softball team, he met and married his sweetheart, Kapreal and became a dad to Jessica. After their son Carl was born, Scott joined the Army and the family moved to Colorado Springs, CO. He served 5 years in the army as a tank commander and earned an honorable discharge.
Scott was born into a musical family and had a deep love of all music genres and periods. He could pick up any instrument and play. The family spent many summer nights around a campfire picking guitars and jamming out.
Scott also loved baseball and could be found many a Saturday spread out at the kitchen table playing Strat-o-Matic. The Colorado Rockies opening day was a holiday in their home and he knew every stat for any team any given year.
Scott was also a history buff and had a unique take on many topics. His uniqueness, talent, and love for his family will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife Kapreal, his daughter Jessica (Tayler) Ward, his son, Carl (Mallory) Faulk, his 4 grandchildren, Sawyer, Stetson, Samuel, and Camryn, and his siblings, David, Lorna, Kim, Wade, Wendy, and his dog, Rockie.
He is preceded in death by his parents and dogs Odie and Ava.
A Celebration of Life for Scott will be held Sunday, December 4, 2022 at the District South Jordan.
